Children’s Faith Formation
Our Mission is to facilitate the faith formation of our students. We aim to assist them in cultivating a deep love for Jesus Christ, as well as in enhancing their understanding and application of the Catholic faith, within a spiritually enriching environment. Our goal is to guide them on their journey to live out their lives as committed disciples of Jesus.
Parents play a crucial role in our program as they are their children’s primary educators. We endeavor to establish partnerships with parents to foster the development of domestic churches within their homes. Oftentimes, it is through their children’s sacramental experiences that adults are able to rekindle their own Catholic identity.
These guidelines have been established to support Our Lady of the Rosary’s ministry to lead our children to love Christ and understand God’s will.
Our Program
We serve children kindergarten to high school meeting on Sundays starting with 9 am Mass followed by age-appropriate classes until 11 am.
First Reconciliation and Holy Communion Sacramental Preparation is a two-year journey beginning as early as first grade and the Sacrament Mass celebrated when the student is at least 7-years-old. For children older, we offer an intermediate grade program to meet their learning needs.
Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year journey for teens requiring two years of classes, two retreats (we hold them annually), and Parish service. Confirmation candidates must be at least 15 years-old.
